Dear partners and colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to take part in the International Week at Jade Hochschule from 25th to 29th April 2016.

We would like to welcome teaching staff to offer guest lectures as well as staff of international offices and students to present their home universities.

We intend to offer workshops on intercultural communication in English and German language as well as workshops on the development of international strategies and the financing of international cooperation. Also, we have planned some interactive sessions for introducing the different partner institutions. You will have the possibility to meet colleagues from different departments and to take part in lectures or to offer lectures yourself. In the evenings we will meet for dinners and international evenings to refresh our contacts or to find new partners. You will have the possibility to get to know our three locations in Elsfleth, Oldenburg and Wilhelmshaven and the beautiful coast and the green environment of the three cities.

With this invitation we would like to consolidate our fruitful cooperation and offer an interesting international and intercultural learning experience.

A more detailed programme overview and all practical information you need to prepare for your stay in Wilhelmshaven will be sent to you at the end of March.

Monday 25th April Arrival and Welcome Dinner

Tuesday 26th April International Fair/Visits of the cities of Oldenburg or Wilhelmshaven

Wednesday 27th April Intercultural Training/International cinema in the evening

Thursday 28th April Workshops/International Party in the evening

Friday 29th April Excursion to Meyer Werft (wharf for building cruise ships) and East Frisia

Saturday 30th April Day of Departure

Meetings with colleagues and/or guest lectures in cooperation with German colleagues will be possible during the whole week.

We have limited places and would like to invite at maximum two persons from each university. Please do not book your flights before your participation has been confirmed.

To prepare the international fair we would like to ask you to send some information material to the International Office.
